SMILE TRAIN

We at Institute of Child Health are proud to be associated with Smile Train as a partner organization since August 2005 for total care of patients with cleft lip and palate absolutely FREE of CHARGES.

Smile Train is a charitable organization with its headquarter in U.S.A who sponsors surgical treatment and follow up of cleft surgeries to underprivileged children worldwide. This includes primary surgeries of cleft lip and palate and also secondary corrections when necessary.

We are proud to have achieved an international standard in cleft surgeries which is comparable by peer reviews across the world, for which Smile Train approached us to be one of their partners in the world. Our project director Prof. Parthapratim Gupta, M.S; M.Ch (Pediatric Surgery); FRCS (Ed.); FRCS (Glasg.); Head Department of Pediatric Surgery and Dr.Manoj Khanna, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, M.S.; M.Ch (Plastic Surgery), DNB (Plastic Surgery), FICS (USA) is his associate consultant. Each of the operated patient's photograph's (pre and postoperative) are uploaded to the central office of the Smile Train which are then reviewed by the panel of experts in the U.S.A.

Patients of cleft lip and palate from economically poor section of our society should be referred to Institute of Child Health on Saturday (Prof. Parthapratim Gupta) or Wednesday (Dr.Manoj Khanna) surgical outpatient department between 8.30 to 10.30 am, so as to enable them get this unique world standard treatment absolutely free of charges.
